1) Father of The Great Mughal Babur was
Umar Sheikh Mirza, who was the ruler of The Fergana Valley of Timurid Empire.
He died in 1494 making 12 year old Babur, the ruler of Fergana.
2) Timurid Empire was in modern day Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Eastern Iran and Afghanistan.
3) Timur was Babur’s 3rd great grandfather on his father’s side. Genghis was Babur’s 10th great grandfather on his mother’s side.

4) Babur was succeeded by Humayun, who was defeated by Sher Shah Suri( Farid Khan) in Battle of Chausa in 1539 and in Battle of Kanauj in 1540.
But Humayun regained Delhi after 15 years in 1555 by defeating Sikander Sur at Sirhind.
5) Sher Shah was died in 1545 by explosion. His only lost campaign was Fort of Kalinjar in 1545 where he died.
6) Sher Shah was the first to issue "Rupiya" and reorganized the postal system of India.
7) He revived the historical city of Pataliputra, which had been in decline since the 7th century CE, as Patna.
He also built Grand Trunk Road from Chittagong in Bengal province to Kabul in Afghanistan.
8) "Mingling of the two oceans" was written by Mughal Prince Dara Shikoh in 17th century describing the similarities between Hinduism and Islam.
